Southern Districts enjoyed a 73-point win over Palmerston and a dominant stat showing from two of their own would have played a large role in that margin.
Regular contributor James Tsiats pulled off 36 disposals, including 23 kicks and 13 handballs, while skipper Dean Staunton managed 35, including 15 kicks and 20 handballs.
As always Palmerston captain Matt Dennis was a standout of his side and a 30 disposal (17 kicks, 13 handballs) game from the big ruckman alongside 27 hit outs and six clearances certainly impressed in the losing effort at Norbuilt Oval.
Nightcliff’s dual Nichols medallist Brodie Filo, Buffaloes’ utility Lachlan McKenzie and Tiwi’s ball magnet Fletcher Carroll all tied for fifth position on the Round 11 stats chart making 29 disposals each (18 kicks, 11 handballs).
Tiwi’s Jack Monigatti also pulled off a massive showing in the ruck with 45 hit outs, more than anyone in the round, and six tackles.
