AN unrelenting offensive display saw Wanderers post the largest score of the season so far when they soared past a struggling Tiwi Bombers to win 37.19 (241) to 7.9 (51).

The Muks Muks were quick to put Tiwi to the sword with a 10-goal opening quarter and the speedy Eagles never relented with their transition play from backs to forwards instrumental.

Simon Bates kicked off proceedings scoring the opener within a minute and the Muk Muks never looked back from there.

Dane McFarlane and Shaun Mannagh kept the ball moving through the midfield while Josh Cubillo, Brett Eddy and Eddie Simpson were recipients of their efforts.

The unselfish Simpson was strong on the mark handing plenty of scoring opportunities he could have taken himself to his fellow forwards.

Young guns Dray Thompson and Jesse Motlop were constant menaces for the Bombers with their pace while Daniel Weetra was formidable defensively upon his return to the side.

Tiwi fought on with Dion Munkara and Harley Puruntatameri making the occasional breakthrough for a score while Jack Monigatti and Paddy Heenan kept fighting in the midfield.

However, the score line never twisted back towards the Bombers who were outscored in each period.

“We really wanted to charge into after the good win over Crocs last week and today was about backing that up,” Mannagh told the NT News.

“We knew Tiwi would look to come out firing and so we needed to start strong and put them on the back foot at the start. The score line is on our side but doesn’t reflect their effort.

“Our first quarter was massive kicking 10 goals and we really aimed for that considering we had an early game in the heat.

“Everyone put their hand up today and put the effort in which is all (coach) Shannon Motlop asked of us so A+ for us.”

The final quarter would have been an even bigger confidence booster for the Muk Muks with a show of fitness allowing the side to finish with a flourish and Eddy bagging five in the last period of play.
