UFC icon Jorge Masvidal in massive brawl as feud explodes

Shocking scenes have unfolded as UFC legends Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal met for the final time with a brawl erupting.

UFC icon Jorge Masvidal has been seen in the middle of a wild brawl that erupted following a press conference before his showdown with Nate Diaz.

Crazy scenes unfolded when members of Masvidal’s team and members of Diaz’s entourage exchanged words before punches were thrown.

The drama unfolded as Masvidal was leaving the press conference in Los Angeles where he and Diaz came face to face for the final time before they will weigh-in for their boxing blockbuster next month.

Masvidal suddenly found himself in the middle of the fracas after the first punches were thrown and video shows him dragging one person away.

According to ESPN, a member of Diaz’s team threw a punch at Masvidal after the Cuban fighter slapped him.

Video shows one of Masvidal’s boxing coaches, Jorge Capetillo, then stepped up and tried to punch another member of Diaz’s crew.

Security staff were eventually able to restore order and no police action has been taken.

Masvidal and Diaz have a long, bitter relationship, but it appeared to be over after Masvidal’s victory when they faced off for the UFC’s “Baddest Mother F***er” belt in 2019.

That fight was stopped because of a cut above Diaz’s eye and the defeat has always irked the American.

The 39-year-old was particularly hostile throughout Friday’s press conference and had to be re-called for the face-off after abruptly walking off the stage.

He also sprayed press conference host Brian Campbell.

“Not this f***ing press conference,” Diaz said when asked what he cares most about in the lead up to the fight on July 6.

“I’m sick of sitting here. I’m sick of looking at all these motherf***ers. I’m sick of looking at you, too. I’m sick of this whole s***. I’m done with this whole press conference s***.

“I’m glad we’re here to promote these great fights that are happening. That’s cool as f***.

“But besides that, I think my work here is done. I’m done doing all this s***. No more press conferences until my next fight.

“F*** this ugly motherf***er. Man, I hate to disrespect you, but I’m sick of seeing you, too. I’m out. I’m good. See everybody. Peace out.”

Diaz has only had one professional boxing fight — a unanimous decision loss to YouTuber Jake Paul.

Masvidal has never boxed professionally, but had 35 wins in his MMA career.

His last victory was against Diaz in 2019, and finished his career in the UFC on a run of four consecutive losses.
