Who has the most meat pies in local footy? We scour every local league across NSW and the ACT to find out who is leading the race to be crowned the state’s top tryscorer.

Who has the most meat pies in local footy?

We scour every local league across NSW and the ACT to find out who is leading the race to be crowned the state’s top tryscorer.

Here’s who sits in the top 29 tryscorers across the state as of 19 June.

1. COREY COX - 16

Narromine Jets - Castlereagh First Grade

The Narromine Jet has been just that this season, leading all scorers with 16 tries and already amassing 128 points for the season. Has three hat-tricks this year, including two four-try hauls.

2. JACK SMITH - 15

Forbes Magpies - Peter McDonald Premiership First Grade

His consistency has been an asset to a strong Forbes side, with the fullback posting a try in every fixture so far in 2025. Posted two hat-tricks for the season, including one on the weekend against Orange.

3. AUSTIN POWER - 14

Boorowa Rovers - George Tooke Shield (Canberra)

Hot on the heels of Cox is Auz Power with an incredible 14 tries in just four games this season. He has posted tallies of six, five and a relatively tame three meat pies for Boorowa.

3. LACHLAN MACFARLANE - 14

Lower Mountains - Barry Nicol Shield (Penrith)

Consistently chipping away to lead a hot field in Penrith’s Barry Nicol Shield, which has more people on this list than any other comp. A pair of hat-tricks puts Macfarlane on top and within striking distance of top spot.

3. YILARA WIDDERS - 14

Redfern All Blacks - Metro Combined Women Gold

The daughter of the great Dean has been a revelation for RAB this season, helping them dominate their division. Has already scored a pair of hat tricks and added a futher two against Pennant Hills Cherrybrook.

6. KADEESHA KING - 13

Western City Tigers - Barry Nicol Women’s (Penrith)

A pair of four-try hauls in the opening three rounds have pushed her to the top of the standings in Penrith. Leads all scorers in the competition with 80 points.

7. LARA COSGROVE - 12

Woden Valley - Katrina Fanning Shield

The young fullback came through the junior reps ranks with the Raiders and is translating that into a dominant season. A strong goalkicking boot has her leading the Fanning Shield with 74 points.

7. STEPHEN FIFITA - 12

Doonside Roos - Barry Nicol Shield (Penrith)

Part of a strong Doonside team, Fifita has been electric on a wing and in the centres with a good haul of 12 tries, with his best a hat-trick.

7. SIONE FIFITA - 12

Doonside Roos - Barry Nicol Shield (Penrith)

Like Stephen, Sione has played on the wing and in the centres for the Roos this year, and his four-try haul against Western City has him in the mix to catch up to him.

10. TAHLIA SMITH - 11

Berkeley Vale Panthers - Central Coast Women’s

Tahlia Smith has opened up a dominant lead at the top of the Central Coast tally, four clear of her nearest rival. Has posted two hat-tricks, including a four-try effort.

10. JAMAINE ANDERSON - 11

Comboyne Tigers - Hastings League

The star fullback has been in elite form as Comboyne chases a title in the strong Hastings League. Has scored in every outing this season to keep the Tigers well in the hunt.

10. JOSH WOUTERSZ - 11

Kinbumber Colts - Central Coast First Grade

This Kincumber side is filled with stars, but winger Woutersz has been a shining light. He’s posted 11 tries in five games and has been credited as one of the best finishers in the comp.

10. SIONE TUIVAI - 11

Blacktown Workers - Barry Nicol Shield (Penrith)

The Blacktown Workers winger is finding his feet for the division’s premier team on fire. He’s piled on seven tries in his last four games to keep within range.

10. SHAUN VA’ALEPU - 11

South West - Macarthur First Grade

Great effort for Va’alepu to be in this position with the Goannas towards the bottom of the ladder. A few doubles this season, including another against The Oaks, puts him in top spot at the moment in the strong Macarthur comp.

10. TYLER CONNORS - 11

Inverell RSM - Group 19 First Grade

Holds an equal lead in top spot at Group 19. The fullback has been unstoppable in recent times, scoring eight tries in his last three outings.

10. SAM PRESS - 11

Uralla - Group 19

A hat-trick of tries in a narrow win over Glen Innes propelled the lock-forward onto this list and a share of top spot in the Group 19 tryscoring list.

10. SAM YLIAS – 11

Kendall - Hastings League

The key centre for the Blues came up clutch on the weekend as Kendall trounced South West Rocks, scoring three tries to catapult him onto this list.

10. CONNOR WILLIAMS - 11

Queanbeyan Blues - Raiders Cup

Was a fair way off making this list before the weekend, and then casually dropped four tries against Yass as the five-eighth took his season tally to 100.

19. LYRIC SALAFAI - 10

St Marys - Barry Nicol Women’s (Penrith)

Salafai has been in fine form with eight tries in her last four games, with a bag of four in there for good measure. Sadly hasn’t played since May 18 due to washouts and forfeits.

19. JAXON CLARKE - 10

Shellharbour - Group 7 Reserve Grade

Scored three tries in round one and backed it up with four against Milton Ulladulla to put him at the top of the Group 7 tree. A winger with plenty of class in the reggies grade.

19. JAYDEN NORGROVE - 10

Tuggeranong - Canberra Reserve Grade

A model of consistency, Norgrove has crossed the stripe in every outing so far this season. His best came in round six against Queanbeyan when scoring four against the Blues.

19. ELIZA TAYLOR - 10

Belconnen United - Katrina Fanning Shield

The winger has been in good form throughout the season, scoring 10 tries for the Sharks as they push for a title, including a personal best of four.

19. TRAVIS VAWDON - 10

Gungahlin - Canberra Reserve Grade

Gungahlin is flying in Canberra’s reggies with an unbeaten record and incredible points differential, and the tryscoring exploits of Travis Vawdon are a big part of that.

19. DANIEL PAYNE - 10

The Oaks - Macarthur First Grade

Everyone loves a running halfback and Daniel Payne brings that for The Oaks. Has scored at a regular clip throughout the season to put him in the mix for top spot at Macarthur.

19. WILL MCDERMOTT - 10

Temora Dragons - Group 9 First Grade

A strike centre for the Dragons, who has crossed the line in all-but one game this season, headlined by a hat-trick against Brothers. Always so dangerous on that edge and now leads Group 9 outright.

19. SAMARA AFELE - 10

Yass - Katrina Fanning Shield (Canberra)

Absolutely lit up the Katrina Fanning Shield with a four-try effort for the Magpies against the Blues to rocket her up into the top 20 across NSW/ACT.

19. SINA TATOFI - 10

Griffith Waratah - Group 20

Continued his solid form with a double against Tullibigeal-Lakes United to improve his tally to 10 for 2025.

19. AALIYAH LOMAS - 10

West Belconnen - Katrina Fanning Shield (Canberra)

Three trys for the West Belconnen lock-forward and skipper against local rivals Belconnen United saw Lomas rise sharply in these rankings.

19. JOHN RYAN - 10

Camden Rams - Macarthur First Grade

The undefeated Rams continue their run in the Macarthur competition and the tryscoring feats of winger John Ryan saw him pick up a double to lead the competition.
