The dad of NFL star Travis Kelce has made a rare public comment to hit out at a reality TV star’s claims about Taylor Swift.

Ed Kelce has made a rare public comment to hit back at reality TV star Bethenny Frankel.

The Real Housewives of New York mum caused a stir this month when she referred to Travis Kelce as a caveman following the NFL star’s wild Super Bowl outburst.

Frankel, who has since become a high profile lifestyle blogger, author and TV commentator, received a backlash from social media users in the days that followed after she suggested Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship is doomed to fail.

Frankel’s comments finally reached Kelce’s dad Ed over the weekend and the proud dad clearly wasn’t happy.

“Who TF is this troll,” Kelce posted on Facebook with a link to a news story.

Bethenny Frankel poured cold water on the love story.

Kelce’s swipe has left fans chortling with commentators on the post all taking the side of the family over Frankel.

One fan posted: “Just when I didn’t think I could love the Kelce Family anymore we get Ed for another win”.

Frankel has gone quiet since her comments and recently turned off comments on some of the videos she had shared across social media.

The 53-year-old is yet to address the backlash she has faced for first making the comments.

“I don’t know why everyone is up in arms that Travis Kelce was screaming,” she said following Kelce’s blow up at Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid during Super Bowl LVIII.

“He has a beard, he is gargantuan, he looks like he goes to work with a car that he starts with his feet, like he lives in Bedrock (referencing iconic cartoon series The Flintstones).”

She said earlier this month her comments were motivated by a previous relationship she had with “a big burly charismatic man who needed to be the centre of attention”.

“Being in that relationship made me feel like I was driving without breaks. It was just really fun and really electric, but this person just always wanted to party,” she said.

Frankel added: “But when you get into real life and you get into kids and marriage and things like that... it’s not easy [and] relationships take work. And it’s hard, because Taylor Swift is certainly a peacock. So they’re really usually can only be one peacock in a relationship.”

Kelce had travelled to Australia to be with Swift during her blockbuster Eras Tour.

He has since returned to the United States and was this weekend spotted partying at LAVO Las Vegas.

Kelce was spotted enjoying his time as he celebrated with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes while several women danced on tabletops behind them, according to photos obtained by The New York Post.

Earlier in the day, Kelce arrived in Vegas on a private jet to cap off his excursion to Australia where Swift performed sold-out concerts in Sydney as part of the international leg of her Eras Tour.
