TRACY Village Jets survived the clash of the Darwin Basketball powerhouses and remain the only undefeated side of the 2020 Championship season after beating Ansett 82-77.
The Jets came out with in intent racking up early points and forcing the talent deep Ansett on the back foot.
Ned Stevens (25 points) top scored for his side with star import Jerron Jamerson (20 points) also laying on plenty of points early in the encounter.
Ansett fought back over the next two quarters with Fred Williams (16 points), Joel De Barros (14 points) and Freddy Webb (13 points) all contributing.

Ansett briefly took the lead in the third quarter however from there discipline played against the side in blue.
Keenan Abbott (12 points) and Will Burton (10 points) came to the fore among the side’s other young guns to secure the win for Jets.
Jamerson was proud of his youthful side’s efforts feeling they could only improve as the season progressed now that they had got over one of their biggest rivals.
“It’s good to have pulled out the win and though it may not have been the best win it’s still a great one to have,” Jamerson told the NT News.
“Our offence lacked a bit tonight but our defensive intensity was what got us over the line and our willingness to rebound despite being a smaller team really stood out.
“Everyone who came into the game was ready to play from the starters to the bench and that will be a massive confidence booster for the side going forward.
“Close games are the best as they show you what you have to work on and for us that is our half-court offence and when we get that sorted we will be a really good side.”

Meanwhile in other Men’s League action, Essington (Elijah Barbour, 37 points) emerged from their form slump with a 101-67 win over Uni Rebels (Julian Punsalang, 15 points).
On the Women’s side of the draw Lightning (Dom Carbone, 22 points) rolled over Razzle 81-31 while Tracy Village (Michelle Ellis, 19 points) remain unbeaten with an 80-50 win over Essington.
