TENNIS NT’s development officer Jessica Polack was given the opportunity to learn from some of the most inspiring females in sport in Sport Australia’s 2021 Women Leaders in Sport Program.
The SA program has provided professional development to more than 25,000 women since 2002.
Polack was among just 160 participants selected for the six week program which aims to support and empower women in the sport workforce.

And it was her passion to strengthen tennis at the grassroots level and aspirations to become a CEO down the track that earned her selection.
“There’s a lot of talented females in sport across the country so to actually be selected was exciting,” Polack said.
“It was a great opportunity to learn from some of the most inspiring and influential sporting voices in the country.
“I want to be able to motivate and inspire those around me through any avenue.
“And while doing so I want to be constantly learning and connecting with others in the industry so I can become the best leader I can be.”
Polack is a relative newcomer to her NT role but she is no stranger to sport having coached tennis.
Her role as development officer gives her a look behind the scenes and inspired her to run a sports organisation.
“No matter what I’m doing I just want to be able to help inspire young girls in chasing their dreams,” Polack said.
“Having this development role has been fantastic.
“It’s given me a point of view of the sports from behind the scenes where I come from a coaching background.
“I would love to keep learning. My long term goal is to be a CEO of a big sporting organisation with a team that works with me helping grow the sport and inspire.”
