Alice Springs Cup field for Sunday

The final field has been declared for the $110,000 Alice Springs Cup on Sunday.

Last year’s winner I Am The Fox will carry topweight of 60kg.

His main danger is the in-form Trident while Blaike McDougall will make the trek north to ride the Michael Hickmott-trained Lord Bouzeron.

Other jockeys of note making the trip to Red Centre are Group 1-winning riders Zac Spain and Alysha Collett who are riding Budget King and Count of Essex respectively in the Cup.

The other big race on the card is the $100,000 Pioneer Sprint over 1200m which has a field of 12 runners with three emergencies.
