Netball’s biggest prize will be gracing the Top End this week as part of its inaugural national tour.
The fifth stop on its 10 city Australian tour, the SSN trophy will have a chance to get up close and personal with the NT’s iconic wildlife at Croc Cove before heading out into the community.
“We are incredibly excited to have the Suncorp Super Netball trophy travel around our community this week in its first ever visit to the Northern Territory,” Netball NT chief executive Penny Shearer said.
“We have arranged for the official silverware of the world’s best netball league to get the full Darwin experience, ranging from school visits to tourism hot spots, and the trophy’s first ever crocodile sighting at Crocosaurus Cove.
“The tour means a lot to our netball community and the athletes within as it showcases what hard work can achieve in our netball pathways.
“You have to see it to be it, and we hope everyone comes along at some point across the week to see where netball can take you.”
