Strong fields of nominations named for the Great Northern Darwin Cup and Palmerston Sprint

ALL nominations are in for the horses looking to race in the 2021 $200,000 Great Northern Darwin Cup (2050m) on August 2, and $135,000 Palmerston Sprint (1200m) on July 31.
TRNT chief executive Andrew O’Toole confirmed that all horses, jockeys and trainers had arrived ahead of the lockdowns in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
“Everyone arrived here ahead of time so we have everything and everyone we need for the racing,” O’Toole said.
“If they’re not here yet they weren’t going to be here.”

The Darwin Cup boasts a strong field and highly competitive group of nominations in 2021.
Among them are Alice Springs Cup winners such as Lotion, I Am The Fox and Ash Grey and the 2021 Chief Ministers Cup winner Highly Decorated.
Trainer Rob Gulberti is back in Darwin with two nominations for the big day, neither being the two time reigning champion Ihtsahymn.
Instead he is bringing two newer racers to the Darwin track this year in Deception Game and Ulusaba.
