SOUTHERN Districts and Tiwi Bombers will shoot it out with both sides bidding to get their first win of the 2020-21 NTFL season on the board.

As the last sides remaining without a victory, both sides have plenty to play for and it will be Tiwi who will have the home advantage at Wurrumiyanga Oval.

Four-time AFL premiership winner Cyril Rioli Jr was originally named on an extended interchange list for the hosts, but he will not feature in this game.

But the Bombers will still boast plenty of firepower, including Rodney Baird who makes his return following an NRL NT premiership win with Darwin Brothers.

John Tipiloura was a standout for Tiwi in its loss to Saints and will be looking for another strong showing.

Adam Sambono and Dion Munkara will also be building themselves into some form for the side that traditionally has a sluggish start to the season.

However, Tiwi won’t have it all their own way at home, with Districts wanting a win of their own.

Crocs Lionel Ogden and Luke Kiel stood out in the stats in the first two rounds of the season, topping the disposals count despite their side lacking a win.

Speedster Brandon Rusca also impressed in the loss to Waratah, kicking the opening goal from 50m out to set up an impressive opening period for his side.

A strong start will be needed again versus Tiwi, but Districts will need the finishing touch this time to get a much-needed win.
