SOUTH Darwin forfeited their A-grade Round 6 match-up against Litchfield Bears with lacking playing numbers among the causes.
The Rabbitohs have not enjoyed their A-grade ventures in recent weeks suffering heavy losses to Brothers and Palmerston and looking likely to suffer similar results in coming weeks.
With player numbers down and volunteers short the club has struggled to put a full team together against the other premiership sides.

As a result of the forfeit South Darwin club loses two competition points and is fined $500, while Litchfield have been given a 20 nil win as compensation for not playing.
NRL NT Operations Manager Henry Street said the forfeit was disappointing for the league.
“It’s disappointing for the NRL NT competition as a whole that South Darwin has forfeited at this time,” Street said.
“We’ve had a number of conversations with Souths and are trying to help build a strong playing group there but that doesn’t happen overnight.
“Playing numbers and lack of volunteers have hurt them in recent times and we’re doing our best to support them as best as we can.”
