THE Carlton Mid Darwin Cup has never looked better, with a classic beauty representing the Territory’s most prestigious event.
Sarah McCulloch has been named the Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Carnival Ambassador for 2015.
The NT News sales executive was “beyond thrilled” after finding out the news.
“I am very excited and honoured to be named the 2015 Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Carnival Ambassador. I love going to the races so I cannot wait to be more involved next year,” she said.
Darwin Turf Club marketing and sponsorship manager Carly Archer said the role required the ambassador to feature in much of the media and promotion in the lead up to and during the carnival.
“We believe Sarah will be a fantastic representative of not only the carnival and the Darwin Turf Club, but of the Northern Territory as a whole,” she said.
This is not Ms McCulloch’s first time in the spotlight. The high achiever was a finalist for the 2014 Miss Universe Australia and 2012 Miss Tourism Australia competitions and was named the 2014 NT Fashion Week Model.
She is also a classically trained dancer and qualified to teach ballet, contemporary and jazz dance; she was involved in surf life saving for more than 10 years as a nipper and volunteer; and has travelled to 27 different countries.
Ms McCulloch said she believed her tertiary qualifications and life experiences would bring added strength to the role, as well as her love of horse racing.
