Athletes rejoice! The intimacy ban that had been in place for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics has been lifted for Paris.
The Olympic village will be stocked with 300,000 condoms with 14,250 people and 9,000 athletes expected to reside in the village which is the size of 70 football pitches.
Surprisingly, the cardboard bed frames appear sturdy enough to support 250kg.
“It is very important that the conviviality here is something big,’’ said Laurent Michard, director of the village.
“Working with the athletes commission, we wanted to create some places where the athletes would feel very enthusiastic and comfortable.”
YEAR OF THE DOGG
This is not a joke. Rapper Snoop Dogg will be a primetime correspondent on the ground in Paris, delivering observations for American network NBC.
“I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix,’’ he said.
Their coverage will also feature singer Kelly Clarkson and American football icon Peyton Manning as official hosts alongside Mike Tirico.
Talk show host Jimmy Fallon is also part of the team, co-hosting the closing ceremony with Tirico.
PARIS COMEDY CLUB
Popular Australian comedy duo, The Inspired Unemployed, will bring all the fun to their millions of social media followers.
Representing global wellness brand Swisse, the pair, Matt Ford and Jack Steele, will be roaming around Paris and catching up with athletes.
They have been working with the brand to shake up its new Gummies range.
Swisse will also host a big athlete heavy party in Paris ahead of the Games.
