To mark a century since the Olympics last came to Paris, the French capital hosted the third annual Vogue World, a one-off celebration of fashion, pop culture and sport.
The event celebrated the unique intersection of sport and fashion highlighting why Paris is shaping up as the glamour Games.
Taking over the historic Place Vendome in the first arrondissement, Vogue World was hosted by Cara Delevingne, and included A-list fashion and sporting talent in the performances.
Alongside a host of models – including recent Vogue Australia cover star Angelina Kendall – the event starred FKA Twigs, chart-topping pop star Sabrina Carpente and Katy Perry, who stormed the cobblestones in a naked geometric archival Luar dress from the 1980s.
French NBA phenomenon Victor Wembanyama, the 7-foot-4 No.1 draft pick for the San Antonio Spurs also featured on the Vogue World runway.
The ultimate show-stopping moment came when Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid - both riders and horse girls since childhood - crossed the iconic Place Vendome on horseback wearing Hermes autumn/winter ’24/’25 .
Cameos were also made by sporting legends who all won gold medals on the Olympic stage including Venus and Serena Williams, and French sprinter Marie-Jose Perec.
The French men’s and women’s football teams were also present, while the likes of Maria Sharapova and Olympic snowboard champion Chloe Kim were happy to enjoy festivities from the front row.
French luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tiffany & Co and more have partnered with an Olympic Games to deliver that French savoir-faire throughout key moments of the event.
In a show of what is to come, Vogue World was also attended by the ultimate multi-hyphenate Pharrell Williams, who is the men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton and was seated next to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Only in Paris will the worlds of fashion, pop culture and sport come together on such an epic scale.
