THE NT Women’s and Under 19’s Titans rep sides head off tomorrow to compete against the best in the country in the National Championships in Redcliffe.
Brothers’ coach Leon Cleal is mentoring the women’s side, a unit he believes will bring plenty of effort and show the potential of NT rugby league players.
In a hit to the side Sistaz star and 2020 Gaynor Maggs medalist Latoniya Norris picked up injury ruling her out of the touring party.

Though Cleal is insistent that his side will be able to step up in her absence with the experience of captain Bianca Scrymgour and Bianca Stokes leading the way.
And though it is just her first season playing rugby league Buffettes’ star Machaelia Roberts is also in the squad.
As for the under 19s outfit all eyes will be on young half Talia Corrie who has already made a name for herself in the
Litchfield’s Kiyanah Toy is another who has impressed so far in the 2021 season scoring five tries against Sharks in Round 2.
“Everyone is excited to get out there. We have new and exciting players that have never played at this level and others that bring great experience,” Cleal told the NT News.
“It’s a tremendous honour to coach this side and see how far some of these ladies have come in training.
“For them it will all be about effort. We will be regarded as the underdogs but if we put in that effort I’m confident that we won’t be seen that way when we come back.
“We’re expecting to see some high quality footy particularly from the Victorians and invitational ADF and Indigenous sides but we have our own standards on what we want to achieve as individuals and as a team.”
