State of Origin 2016: Laurie Daley confirms the Blues side for Origin II

BLUES coach Laurie Daley has confirmed his line up for New South Wales’ do or die Origin showdown at Suncorp Stadium.

Greg Bird will start in the second row.

LAURIE Daley has confirmed his team for Origin II following the loss of Wade Graham to suspension.

Greg Bird will replace Graham on the left edge with debutant Tyson Frizell to come onto the bench.

The side is otherwise unchanged from the squad that lost Game I.

Bird has extensive experience playing on an edge but hasn’t appeared there for the Blues since 2012.

He also played 13 of his 17 Test matches in that position.

James Tamou has retained his place in the starting line up after being promoted from the bench just before kick off of Game I.

Jack Bird and Bryce Cartwright will stay with the squad as 18th and 19th man respectively.

The Blues have won just six games at Suncorp Stadium this century.
