DYLAN Walker put his State of Origin criticism behind him with a fine display but it wasn't enough to stop the Panthers roaring to a comeback win at Brookvale Oval.

But who were the stars and who struggled?

Check out our player ratings below.

Brett Stewart6.5
Had some good moments with and without the ball but not the influence or the threat of the Stewart of old.
FULLBACK
Matt Moylan7
Was ordinary along with the rest of his side for 50 minutes but showed his class with some great touches at the back end to help turn the tide.
Jorge Taufua7
Scored a good try and came up with plenty of tough metres as always but also good for a mistake.
WING
Josh Mansour7.5
Plenty of effort, plenty of metres and a willingness to put himself in the contest whenever he could. Could not be faulted.
Tom Trbojevic7.5
Devastating with the football with his running game enormous but some crucial missed tackles didn’t help his side’s cause.
CENTRE
Waqa Blake6
A real mixed bag. Some good things with the footy but had his hands full with Trbojevic all afternoon.
Brayden Wiliame6.5
Did a decent job on the right edge but had his hands full keeping Peachey in check.
CENTRE
Tyrone Peachey7..5
A threat with his footwork whenever he saw the football but the Panthers guilty of not going to him often enough.
Matthew Wright6
Did well for Walker’s second try but his overall involvement in the game was limited.
WING
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak5
A couple of decent second half bursts and scored a try but could take a leaf out of Mansour’s book involvement-wise.
Dylan Walker8
Responded to criticism of his Origin 1 selection with an outstanding individual effort in attack. Some defensive misses but his best game for the club.
5/8
Bryce Cartwright7
Made a reasonable fist of the five-eighth position. Great offload for late try but is it enough to earn an Origin berth?
Apisai Koroisau6.5
Came up with a couple of great tackles on his own line but no real influence with the football.
H/BACK
Nathan Cleary7.5
Only the teenager’s second NRL game but played like a seasoned veteran. Ran the ball, kicked well and took plenty of right options.
Darcy Lussick7.5
Set the standard for the Eagles in the opening 40 with his go-forward and work-rate and loss was through no fault of his.
PROP
Leilani Latu8
His stats don’t do justice to his influence. Scored a try and his ball-playing skills were integral to the Panthers’ revival.
Matt Parcell7
Had to fault his performance. Was sharp with the footy out of dummy half and got through plenty of defence in the second 40.
HOOKER
Peter Wallace7
His experience was an important aspect in the win. A cool head and his second half options out of dummy half were spot on.
Nate Myles3
Off the field early with a knee injury and returned late. Lucky to work up a sweat.
PROP
Reagan Campbell-Gillard7
Did his job carting the ball forward and came up with some big defence in the middle.
Lewis Brown6
Solid but that’s about it with limited chances. Work-rate only so-so.
2ND ROW
Isaah Yeo7
Consistent and rarely plays poorly and this game no exception. Worked hard with and without the footy.
Jamie Buhrer7
Whole-hearted performance. Came up with some missed tackles but made nearly 40 and some strong carries to go with it.
2ND ROW
Trent Merrin7.5
Was among the Panthers’ best. Nothing flashy but huge metres and a big defensive work-rate.
Jake Trbojevic7.5
Made 105 tough metres and 41 tackles to outline his worth to this Manly pack.
LOCK
Suaia Matagi5.5
His first start for the Panthers and one memorable tackle on Koroisau early but didn’t play big minutes so limited influence.
Blake Leary3
Came on late with no real time to contribute much at all.
I/CHANGE
Sitaleki Akauola3.5
Didn’t get much of a run so next to no impact.
Josh Starling7
Came on in the opening minutes for Myles and along with Lussick, provided the platform for Manly’s big lead.
I/CHANGE
Jeremy Latimore4.5
An okay first half stint but only a bit player in the result.
Addin Fonua-Blake2
Used sparingly and had next to no impact while out there.
I/CHANGE
Chris Grevsmuhl5
Made one decent charge and worked hard defensively.
Siosaia Vave7
Bent the Panthers defence back when thrown into the game and continually put his side on the front foot with his carries.
I/CHANGE
Moses Leota4
One or two decent runs but hardly used by the Panthers.

TOTAL
106.5
