POLICE have released the images of 13 fans they want to speak to as they investigate the bottle-throwing which marred the Good Friday clash between the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs.
Police say the 13 people can assist investigators in relation to the throwing of projectiles on to the field from the eastern side of the stadium.
Flemington police want to identify these fans as part of their investigation.
Sections of the crowd went wild when a controversial last-minute penalty to South Sydney after James Graham mistimed a charge down on Rabbitohs half-back Adam Reynolds.
That allowed the Rabbitohs to snatch a famous 18-17 victory in the grand final rematch and bottles rained down on the field.
An interchange official suffered a fractured shoulder blade as he fell while running to safety.
Immediately after the incident, Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle and NRL Head of Football Todd Greenberg vowed to come down hard on the offenders and ban them for life.
Canterbury coach Des Hasler was also quick to condemn the behaviour of the small group of troublemakers.
“That is not what sport in this country is about,” he said after the match.
Police from Flemington have released the 13 images of people they believe can assist in the ongoing investigation.
Investigators have called on fans to provide any vision captured on mobile phones that could help them identify those responsible.
Anyone with footage can upload it anonymously via the Crime Stoppers website.
The Bulldogs have taken to their website to say they are continuing to work with police and reminded people of the club’s code of conduct.
Those found to have been involved in throwing the bottles at officials face a $150 fine and possible bans from the Sydney Olympic Park precinct.
It is unclear the extent to which these 13 fans were involved.
Police are calling on anyone with information on these 13 people to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
