NRL teams round 8: David Fifita mysteriously shows up for Titans, Dragons unveil Sione Finau

He was originally ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury but David Fifita has somehow shown up on the Gold Coast team sheet. Just Des being Des?

SuperCoach NRL: Buy, Hold, Sell Round 8

He was originally ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury but David Fifita has mysteriously shown up on the Gold Coast team sheet.

Is this for real or Des Hasler shenanigans?

Full teams wrap below.

WINNERS FROM TEAMS

* Billy Smith - Returns from suspension and slots straight back into the left centre spot. Cheapie of the week. Has averaged 77.5 over his first two games and is projected to see a price rise of almost $100,000 in the coming week alone, with many more to come.

* Lachlan Galvin - Well, what a crazy week. Galvin is back for the Tigers after being axed last week.

* David Fifita - Named despite initial fears he could miss up to a month with a hamstring injury. What the hell is going on here?

* Dylan Lucas - Back from a hamstring injury for his first game since round 2. With a BE if 21, he’s a great buy at CTW, but his return may also spell the end of price rises for replacement Thomas Cant.

* Tom Trbojevic - Named for the Sea Eagles to return from a knee injury. Do you dare go there with Origin looming? Plenty of SuperCoaches will.

* Connor Watson - By far the most popular replacement for Harry Grant, who is out until at least round 10 with a hamstring injury.

* Sione Finau - Named on the left wing for the Dragons. The BE is 45 so no point in jumping on now, but get prepared for next week.

LOSERS FROM TEAMS

* Leka Halasima - The return of Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad sees, by domino effect, the popular cheapie return to the bench. Reverse trades.

* Thomas Cant - Popular cheapie has been benched following the return of Dylan Lucas. With a BE of 21, the time to sell is soon.

* Harry Grant - Aiming for a round 10 return from a hamstring injury. Sell.

* Jayden Campbell - Out for 4--5 weeks with an ankle injury and therefore the fourth most sold player.

* Reece Walsh - Out for 4-6 weeks with a knee injury.

PEAKED CHEAPIES RIPE TO SELL

* Tom Jenkins (BE 48), Matty Nicholson (BE 58), Lachlan Hubner (BE 52) and Isaiah Iongi (BE 53) have all peaked for now after massive price rises. But given the injury list, you may have bigger problems this week.

DRAGONS UNVEIL TRYSCORING MACHINE

St George Illawarra coach Shane Flanagan will turn to young flyer Sione Finau as Mat Feagai’s replacement on the wing.

Feagai could spend up to three months on the sideline after a hip drop tackle by Manly’s Toafofoa Sipley left him with a fibula fracture and high-grade ankle injury.

Finau was activated as 18th man when Feagai came off the field as a result of the foul play by Sipley.

While the injury is devastating for Feagai, it has opened the door for Finau to cement a starting spot in the NRL side.

Finau has scored five tries from four games in reserve grade for the Dragons so far this season.

He also scored four tries in a pre-season trial.

TURBO BACK AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

Manly superstar Tom Trbojevic has been named for the Sea Eagles.

He trained with his teammates on Monday as he takes the first steps towards a welcome return from injury against Penrith on Saturday night.

Trbojevic was initially ruled out for four weeks with a knee problem and there had been a school of thought that Manly would wrap him in cotton wool for another fortnight given they have the bye the week after the Penrith game.

Sione Finau scores for the Dragons in the Charity Shield.
