It was supposed to be a tough week with three teams on the bye and State of Origin players backing up. But it turned into an NRL SuperCoach bonanza.

It was supposed to be a tough week.

Three teams on the bye, they said, and Origin players backing up, they said.

Well, SuperCoaches have blown those predictions out of the water with a total of 15 players scoring tons over the weekend.

Zac Lomax, Ben Hunt, Latrell Mitchell, Cody Walker, Te Maire Martin, Addin Fonua-Blake, Tyran Wishart, Jahrome Hughes, Nick Meaney, Dylan Lucas, Brian To’o, Daine Laurie, Tommy Talau, Stephen Crichton and Connor Tracey all notched three figures.

Here’s how Round 14 panned out

ROUND 14 SUPERCOACH WINNERS

* Stephen Crichton (124) - Stunning game backing up from Origin with two tries, a try assist and a number of crucial tackles that stats don’t give justice to.

* Connor Tracey (106) - The matchwinner with two late try assists and three in total. Terrorised the Eels with speed all afternoon.

* Brian To’o (166) - Three tries and a massive 13 tackle busts in a huge performance.

* Tommy Talau (144) - FOUR tries in an incredible evening for left wingers.

* Daine Laurie (116) - Produced a very believable Dylan Edwards impersonation at the back including 26 runs and two try assists.

* Reuben Garrick (86) - The kicking radar was off (only one from five) but still produced a very respectable score.

* Ben Trbojevic (73) - Plenty were relying on Burbo today given limited numbers and he did the job with a try assist and a heap of work.

* Liam Henry (81) - Exactly 21,703 SuperCoaches still own Liam Henry and this is why! Crossed for a try and got through 25 tackles.

* Tyran Wishart (121) - Best game in the NRL from the fill-in five-eighth for Cameron Munster. Won’t be a fill-in for much longer, other clubs will come knocking. Two tries and a try assist.

* Jahrome Hughes (113) - Came into the game as the third most purchased player this week and produced the goods on demand. Try, try assist and two try contributions.

* Nick Meaney (105) - Two tries and 20 points in goals. Delivering as a Super-POD.

* Dylan Lucas (106) - Made an impressive fist of a switch to centre. Constant running threat with two tries, although he also conceded one early.

* Dane Gagai (93) - Had spiders on him in the second half with seven tackle busts and a try.

* Fletcher Sharpe (69) - Very lively on debut in place of the injured David Armstrong (quad). Will Armstrong regain his spot?

* Latrell Mitchell (137) – There’s a Blues spot on the line and Mitchell put in the perfect audition with a starring performance for the Rabbitohs.

* Te Maire Martin (114) – Took control of things for the Warriors and he played a big part in their rout of the Cowboys.

* Addin Fonua-Blake (98) – The front rower scored his sixth try of the season and posted another near ton. Mounting a case as the best FRF in the game.

* Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (94) – Turned in his most electrifying outing of 2024. Everywhere you looked he was there as a good fullback should be.

* Siosifa Talakai (83) – Is putting together some nice performances lately and we know he can score massive when he gets going.

* Cody Walker (83) – Has long been one of the most popular players in SC and he could be about to hit a purple patch.

* Braydon Trindall (91) – The Sharks needed him to step up and he did in a big way. Will that be enough for him to hold his spot or will Daniel Atkinson get the nod moving forward?

* Zac Lomax (152) - One of the top SuperCoach scores of the season as he piled it on in the dying minutes to finish with a hat-trick.

* Ben Hunt (121) - A major winner of the night as he calmly navigated a 10-0 deficit to dissect the Tigers

ROUND 14 SUPERCOACH LOSERS

* Jacob Preston (46) - Made it through 71 minutes but suffered a suspected broken ankle late and is set to miss plenty of footy.

* J’Maine Hopgood (32) - Only played 24 minutes in his first ever match backing up from Origin.

* Josh Curran (23) - Only played 17 minutes before leaving the field with a sickening concussion. The Dogs have the bye next week so hopefully he doesn’t miss any footy.

* Dylan Brown (44) - Notched a try assist but still his second worst score of the year against the miserly Dogs.

* Brendan Hands (32) - The second most popular buy of the round played 70 minutes even with Joey Lussick a late addition on the bench, but he couldn’t get among the attacking stats.

* Matt Burton (39) - Saved his score with a late flurry but it was looking dire at half-time on eight points.

* Daly Cherry-Evans (22) - Backing up from a man-of-the-match performance in Origin but just couldn’t get into this game.

* Tolutau Koula (15) - Returning from injury at centre and barely troubled the scorers.

* Haumole Olakau’atu (12) - Came off with a calf injury that has his Origin spot in doubt.

* Harry Grant (47) - Played reduced minutes backing up from Origin but saved his score with a try assist.

* Sua Faalogo (48) - Ironed out by a big hit and somehow missed the big attacking stats. Will still make bulk cash given the BE of -16.

* Joe Chan (17) - Good and bad here. Created an extra number for many on a tough round, but didn’t get much game time.

* Chad Townsend (10) – It’s hard to sugar coat Townsend’s game tonight and there will be calls for a change in the halves in the weeks to come.

Spectator's vulgar act ruins NRL history

* Jeremiah Nanai (16) – Backed up from Origin but it might’ve been better that he was rested after finding little in his time off the bench.

* Chanel Harris-Tavita (16) – While it was a night to remember for halves partner Te Maire Martin, it was quite the opposite for Harris-Tavita.

* Alex Johnston (8) – Sunny conditions had many thinking he could be in for a try haul on the Gold Coast, but he did little.

* Freddy Lussick (12) – Was given enough playing time to post a score of note, but didn’t make it happen.

* Keenan Palasia (13) – Started at lock and punched out just 23 minutes. Not sure if there’s any injury concern?

* Siliva Havili (7) – Went down with a calf injury in the first half and could miss a couple of weeks depending on the severity.

* Ezra Mam (24) – Jock Madden proved the dominant half for the Broncos while Mam struggled to get his attack flowing.

* Tristan Sailor (27) – Had an unhappy night at the back for the Broncos and that puts his position in jeopardy with Reece Walsh to miss next week.

* Selwyn Cobbo (29) – Was a tough night defensively and Cobbo wasn’t able to have his usual impact with the ball.

* Alex Lobb (24) - Had a perfect start with a leaping try in the opening minutes, but the Tigers went away from kicking to the tall winger, for reasons unknown.
