DO you like money? I certainly do!
If you love SuperCoach NRL, you’ll love Perfect 8 — especially now there is up to $360k up for grabs. We’ve also upped the ante by introducing a $1,000 WEEKLY PRIZE!
Here is a rundown on how easy it is to play! It literally takes two minutes, and I mean, think of what you could do with all that cash…
Onto trying to win the massive $285k this week…
Broncos vs. Eels - Thursday 7.50pm at Suncorp Stadium
Tevita Pangai Jnr FRF | 2RF (Broncos) - My word this kid is a gun. I have been pumping his tires as Taumalolo 2.0 for ages now, and we are beginning to see the minutes to open everyone’s eyes to it. 79 minutes last week for 84 points (94 really, barring the last minute sin bin for kicking the ball away), that is ELITE! If we see another 80 minutes this week, TPJ will be right up there for Perfect 8.
Other options: Anthony Milford, Andrew McCullough, Clint Gutherson, Manu Ma’u
Raiders vs. Sea Eagles - Friday 6.00pm at GIO Stadium
Jordan Rapana CTW (Raiders) - Rapana has started to find his way across the try line, and with no Joe Tapine aka ball-hog inside him, this could well be the game he touches that 150-point upside we all know he possesses. In six previous career meetings with the Sea Eagles, Rapana averages 67.7PPG with a high score of 132. That’s niiiiiice.
Other options: Tom Trbojevic, Marty Taupau, Jake Trbojevic, Jarrod Croker
Cowboys vs. Storm - Friday 7.55pm at 1300SMILES Stadium
Josh Addo-Carr CTW (Storm) - I was really tempted to go with Michael Morgan at fullback, but Addo-Carr is just too hard to ignore in the hottest form of his career. SuperCoach Stats projects the speedster to score 100 points on the dot - the highest of ANY player in the entire NRL this weekend. With scores of 92, 109 and 156 in his last five matches, you can see why!
Other options: Michael Morgan, Jason Taumalolo, Cameron Smith, Cameron Munster
Roosters vs. Titans - Saturday 3.00pm at Central Coast Stadium
James Tedesco FLB (Roosters) - If you haven’t been watching Roosters games this season, you probably won’t know that Teddy hasn’t clicked 100% yet, despite still scoring well for SuperCoach. Let me tell you, last week was the turning point. Teddy was at his electrifying best and looked like (along with Latrell) busting through the line and scoring a try every time he touched the pill. A day game with good weather forecast, this could be a Teddy monster!
Other options: Latrell Mitchell, Daniel Tupou, Luke Keary, Jai Arrow
Warriors vs. Rabbitohs - Saturday 5.30pm at Mt Smart Stadium
Damien Cook HOK (Rabbitohs) - Holy cow, Cook is unstoppable right now! Priced at $687k, averaging a whopping 76.4PPG and scores of 92, 68 and 113 in his last three show just how good he is. SuperCoach Stats projects Cook to score 98 points this week, and to be honest who could come up with an argument as to why he wouldn’t!? Back him in.
Other options: Sam Burgess, Greg Inglis (at fullback!), Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Mason Lino
PODCAST!!! The bye season is just around the corner and two great cheapies are on offer. Get the teams lowdown with Tom Sangster and Nick Campton.
Panthers vs. Dragons - Saturday 7.35pm at Panthers Stadium
Nathan Cleary HFB (Panthers) - The top of the table clash is going to be a beauty to watch for footy fans in general, but in SuperCoach terms we get to see a battle for two (arguably four) of the best halves in the game. I’m backing Cleary regains the goal kicking duties this weekend (just a hunch), and he will want to put a stamp on this one the week before the NSW Origin side is announced.
Other options: James Maloney, Corey Harawira-Naera, Gareth Widdop, Matt Dufty
Knights vs. Sharks - Sunday 2.00pm at McDonald Jones Stadium
Kalyn Ponga FLB (Knights) - It’s starting to get a bit ridiculous really. Ponga has entered Tom Trbojevic and James Tedesco territory as the undoubted top point scorers in the game - quite incredible in his first full season at fullback. Another 98 points last week, and the kid just simply hasn’t had a bad game all season - his lowest score is 49! Unbelievable.
Other options: Andrew Fifita, Josh Dugan, Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Connor Watson
Tigers vs. Bulldogs - Sunday 4.10pm at ANZ Stadium
Michael Chee-Kam CTW | 2RF (Tigers) - This one was a toss up between MCK and #MAHETHEMULLET for me, but I have really liked what Chee-Kam has done in recent weeks. Scores of 74 (73 mins), 30 (44mins) and 56 (80 mins) in recent weeks with a utility role have earned the youngster the starting edge back row slot, and one I think will come with 60+ points scoring upside with his nose for the try line.
Other options: Mahe Fonua, Esan Marsters, Tui Lolohea, Rhyse Martin
Good luck! Will this be the week where someone takes home a huge wad of cash? Let’s hope so.
