A SuperCoach must have has emerged at the Sharks, a Tigers star is set to come under scrutiny and the Kalyn Ponga captaincy has backfired massively.

The top 10 SuperCoach scorers from Super Saturday.

1. The variation in the Sharks attack makes it so difficult to defend and lays the platform for some of the most exciting footy you can watch. They can hit you down the middle and on the edges in numerous ways. A nightmare for not only Souths but any team this year.

2. If Ronaldo Mulitalo isn’t in your SuperCoach team now, then he better be next week. He was as good as it gets against Souths, breaking tackles, scoring tries and showing some blistering pace.

3. Nico Hynes has had his struggles throughout his career but he looks incredibly comfortable right now and he is dangerous because of it.

4. Jye Gray was by far Souths best player but he will face some scrutiny after being put on report for a dangerous tackle on Siosifa Talakai in the second half. It didn’t look like there was any malice in it but the last thing Souths need is the fullback missing next week.

5. Souths looked stunned for nearly 80 minutes and had no answers for the Sharks. It was the first loss of the season for the Rabbitohs but super coach Wayne Bennett has his work cut out for him to get them going before they face the reigning premiers Penrith on Thursday.

6. Sunia Turuva was the second best SuperCoach performer for the Tigers but he could find himself in strife after being put on report for a crusher tackle.

7. Wests have been criticised for being unwilling or unable to stay in the grind with opposition teams but the Tigers did exactly that in a second half that ultimately led to the club’s win.

8. Apisai Koroisau will be one of the most scrutinised recruited players leading into Round 4 for SuperCoach users. He turned the game for Wests and put the side on his shoulders.

9. The 40% of SuperCoaches who selected Kayln Ponga as their captain for this round would’ve been hoping for a little more from the Knights maestro.

A late try assist wasn’t enough to fully redeem the fullback who finished with just 43 points on the night, far below his season average of 105 coming into the match.

10. Jayden Campbell led the charge for the Knights as far as SuperCoach is concerned, as he crossed the three figure mark in this one.

Finishing with 113 points, Campbell obliterated his pre-game projections of 72 points.

11. Whenever a team scores just one try for a match, it’s going to be tough for any of its players to meet, let alone exceed, SuperCoach expectations.

While Bradman Best’s 90 was a highlight for Newcastle, seldom few players on the night gave coaches what they would’ve been hoping for.
