SuperCoach NRL: Eight things we learned from Eels v Dragons, Titans v Dolphins and Broncos v Tigers
The Eels cameback to beat the Dragons, the Dolphins blew the Titans away and the Broncos stunned the Wests Tigers. Recap all the action and see the eight things we learned from Super Saturday.
It was another massive day of footy in round 5’s Super Saturday, find out what the key takeaways for SuperCoaches were after all three matches.
1. The fourth most sold player heading into the week, Parramatta Eels fullback Isaiah Iongi showed he still has plenty left to offer for SuperCoaches, with a massive score of 102 set to keep the cash machine pumping for another few weeks. The 8315 people who punted him this week will be spewing.
2. While Ryan Papenhuyzen proved to be the more popular purchase to replace the injured Tom Trbojevic, the brave SuperCoaches who opted to go with Clint Gutherson were massively rewarded as the Dragons recruit had a field day against his old team. Set for a whopping $70,160 price rise.
3. Jamayne Isaako had a monster outing for Dolphins, nailing all eight of his conversion attempts plus a try of his own to finish up with 111 points, smashing his projected total of 58.
4. Jayden Campbell had a brutal day out in the halves, collecting just 29 points, less than a third of his projected 93 in what was a rough day all round for the Titans.
5. Daniel Saifiti was another strong performer for Dolphins, with 95 points on the evening, making him one of the premier performers among front rowers in the competition.
6. Xavier Willison might have been the surprise bolter of the evening, just one point off of bringing up three figures thanks to a pair of tries which saw him triple up on his projection of 34 points.
7. The Tigers had their own big outperformer, with Starford To’a racking up a team high 89 points in an impressive performance out on the wing/centres.
8. Terrell May didn’t quite live up to expectations that many coaches would’ve held for the star front rower, has he scored just 68 points despite projections having him closer to three figures.
