Dally M Award 2016: Josh Hodgson leads Micheal Ennis and Andrew Fifita

CANBERRA’S Josh Hodgson has maintained his spot at the top of the Dally M leaderboard ahead of Cronulla’s Andrew Fifita and Micheal Ennis despite not registering any points in round nine.

The Sharks’ purple patch in the opening rounds of the season had seen the duo close in on the Raiders hooker, but a three-point performance against the Tigers in round eight meant he increased his lead to three points.

Parramatta’s Corey Norman has surged to outright third on the leaderboard. His strong showing from halfback helped to orchestrate victory for his side against the Bulldogs and earned him three points.

However, as the fallout from the Eels’ salary cap dramas continue, it remains to be seen how any points accumulated will be treated by the NRL.

Cowboys superstar Johnathan Thurston scored three points against the Sea Eagles and he now sits on six points in total. It’s only the second time this season he has registered points. He had scored three against the Dragons in round five.
