Northern Territory Under-16 hoops teams loaded full of young stars, including Indigenous Community Basketball League MVPs

BASKETBALL NT has announced the girls’ and boys’ squads which will progress to the next stage of training sessions and attendance at the NT Under-16 boys’ selection camp on May 8-9.

BASKETBALL NT has announced the girls’ and boys’ squads which will progress to the next stage of training sessions and attendance at the NT Under-16 boys’ selection camp on May 8-9.

Competition for positions was fierce, with strong numbers in attendance at the trials in Darwin and Alice Springs.

Under-16 boys’ squad: Abraham Stephen-Bolaji, Aiden McKenney, Brendan Omadlao, Brian Ramsamy, Brody Embuscado, Byron Ah Mat, Calvin Peris Chong, Daejah North-Palmer, Davis Gabriel Yak, Ethan Bush, Ethan Novelly, Fanouris Spyropoulos, Hamad Katab, Hudson Heinrich, Hugo O’Connor, Jantzen Pollard, Kavahn Rodger, Lachlan Douglass, Lachlan O’Brien, Levy Owino, Max Neve, Mick Marimowa, Ricky Mentha, Shadrach Ah-Sam, Shazil Malik, Stavros Mastrovasilis, Tadiwanashe Musekiwa, Taj Murray. Exemptions: Nild Mendigorin, Cornelius Lawton.

Compulsory squad training: Fridays 4-5.30pm (commencing April 9 to June 25) Court 1;

Sundays 11am to 1pm (commencing April 11 to June 27) Court 4.

Under-16 girls’ squad: Agnes Majindi, Alyssa Reid, Bella Foster, Charlotte Hateley, Elisa Dancis, Inez Moir, Jayla Thorne, Kayla Tuluauau, Kaylani Duggan-Cole, Kira Lesh, Maisie Davis, Shakaila Gardiner-Dunn, Sienna Vallejo, Sierra McQueen, Taneesa Hampton, Tia Graham, Vanessa Stanfield. Exemption: Aaliyah Mukhlis.

Squad training: Fridays 4- 5.30pm (commencing April 9 to June 25) Court 2; Sundays 11am to 1pm (commencing April 11 to June 27) Court 3.
