Men’s and Women’s Premier Grade 2024 schedules revealed
The 2024 Darwin and Districts Premier Grade schedule has finally been released, with blockbuster clashes and a new finals format on the cards.

The 2024 Darwin and Districts Premier Grade competition schedule has officially been released with some bumper action on the cards.
With the first round of 50-over action to get underway Saturday, April 13, defending champions Nightcliff will travel to Kahlin Oval to face the Eagles, while grand final losers Waratah will to Cazalys to Palmerston.
The Geoff Akers Memorial Shield clash will be held in Round 6 and will see Districts travel to Palmerston with high hopes of defending their title, with the grand final booked in for Sunday, May 26 at DXC Arena.
As for the two-day competition, the opening round will be kick-off on June 1, with the Geoff Ankers Cup locked in as a pink-ball affair between PINT and Districts.
Nightcliff and Waratah will play off for the Norm Yeend Cup in Round 5 while Districts and Palmerston will battle it out for the Bob Deacon Cup in Round 6.
The traditional 1st vs. 4th and 2nd vs. 3rd format will remain and the grand final will take place across September 14 and 15.
The Women’s Competition will once again be played under lights, with matches scheduled for Friday evenings and will now be an eight team competition following the inclusion of two Districts teams.
Also a dual format competition, the season will get underway with pairs cricket till T20 takes over in Round 8.
Defending champions Tracy Village will face PINT in Round 1 and will see the only Sunday fixture on the calendar as the Crocs go head-to-head in a battle of the ‘Freshies’ and ‘Salties’.
Big Bash style finals will be introduced this season and will see a Qualifier between 1st and 2nd and an Eliminator between 3rd and 4th with a Challenger between the loser of the Qualifier and the winner of the Eliminator, with the final to be held on Friday, September 6 at DXC Arena.
