Three Territory talents have earnt their spot in the under-16 Australian Joeys hockey team.

Selected for the nation after their impressive showing at the U16 Nationals in Hobart earlier this year, the trio will represent the nation during the Joeys’ 2025 European (development) Tour.

The three youngsters, Charlie Beath, Maya Nunn, and Niesha Casimiro will be part of the squad that is slated to play hockey powerhouse Belgium, as well as other elite nations in the Netherlands, Germany and Spain.

All members of Hockey NT’s Future program, their selection is a positive reflection on the sporting body’s efforts in nurturing local talent.

Technical director of HNT Michelle Caden expressed her pride in the athletes, and is eager to see them light up the field.

“The selection of these athletes is a reflection of their hard work,” she said.

“As well as the quality of our development programs.

“We will continue to create opportunities for our athletes to chase their dreams; what an exceptional experience this will be.”
