It was another unbelievable round of individual brilliance across the DDCC. From eight-fa’s to a 100* off 53 balls, catch up on the round that was.

It was a truly remarkable performance from Waratah quick Noah McFadyen who single-handedly dismantled PINT in their round 9 A-grade clash at the weekend.

Trundling out a mammoth 26 over effort, the Northern Suburbs Viking and 2023-24 KFC Qld. Premier Cricket season champion struck eight times.

The quick stuck early, taking the prized pole of PINT captain Farzan Chowna for 8.

He then dismissed number three and vice-captain Dhanusha Gamage also for 8 before taking PINT’s highest run scorer Prasanna Ketheeshwaran for 50.

Not one to be kept out of the action, he caught PINT’s number five Connor Poulton before taking the next five wickets on the trot.

McFadyen finished the match with figures of 8/50, bowling an incredible 10 maidens at an economy of 1.94.

CALEB MONTAGUE(Palmerston, A-grade)

The first drop was toying with Tah’s attack, scoring an unbeaten 108 from 110 deliveries. Hitting 14 fours and two sixes at a strike rate a notch under 100, he led his side to a commanding 1-d/223 to 220 victory.

DOUWTJIE HOOGENBOEZEM (c) (Nightcliff, A-grade)

The Nightcliff one-day winning opener seems to have brought his form to the two-day format, blasting 115* from 154 rocks in his sides win over Darwin. The captain found the rope 15 times and cleared it on two occasions.

CONNOR CARROLL (Nightcliff, A-grade)

The other half of Nightcliff’s monster opening partnership, Carroll scored 101 runs off 100 deliveries, whacking 18 boundaries.

FARZAN CHOWNA (c) (PINT, A-grade)

At the crease till his side were 4/215, the opener slogged it out for a well deserved 113 off 204 balls. Chowna hit 16 fours at a strike rate of 55 in a win over Districts.

DANIEL MCKELL (Palmerston, B-grade)

Channelling his inner Scottie Boland, McKell took an unbelievable 4/7 off his six over spell, with one maiden and no extras in a win over the Tahs.

MICHAEL BERRY (Darwin, B-grade)

The bowler took a tidy 6/72 from his 25.5 over stint in his sides 8/270 – 120 loss to Nightcliff.

JAKE MUNDY (c) (Darwin, B-grade)

Mundy had hot hands behind the stumps, taking five catches as well as notching a run out assist in a losing effort.

SAM ARTHUR (Nightcliff, C-grade)

Arthur was in a mood during his seven over spell, taking 4/18 with two maidens in a win over Districts.

DALJEET SINGH (Nightcliff, D Gold)

The catalyst in his team’s 83 run win over Darwin, Singh snagged 6/38 off his 6.5 overs, dismissing the last six batters.

PAVANKUMAR MENUGONDA(Nightcliff, D Tigers)

Batting at number three, Menugonda made an unbeaten 118 off 112 deliveries, finding the rope 19 times.
