UPDATE: A thrilling Round 14 of the 2021-22 NTFL season is on this weekend and we will be there to stream every moment live and exclusive on ntnews.com.au.
First up at TIO Stadium from 4pm Waratah will face off against Palmerston Magpies in a match both will be gunning to take.
Waratah are in strong form and will be eager to keep that up but Palmerston may yet be able to edge into the finals and will throw everything they can to make that a reality.
Then from 6.30 at TIO it’s the Darwin Buffaloes against Southern Districts, a match that could be pivotal to both sides.
Districts currently sit in the last finals berth but Buffaloes are the side closest to taking it off their hands so expect a fierce encounter there.
At the same time Nightcliff Tigers host St Mary’s in massive grand final rematch at Nightcliff Oval.
Nightcliff survived a scare last round and Saints didn’t get their chance to play so both sides will have something to prove.
The Tiwi Bombers match against Wanderers which was originally set to happen at TIO Stadium has been cancelled due to Tiwi Island travel restrictions.

EARLIER: SPECTATORS, players and staff must provide proof of vaccination on entry at all licensed sporting venues under new NT government guidelines.
This includes all NTFL venues as well as Rugby Park, Sitzler Netball Stadium and CDU Stadium.
The mask mandate will also continue to be enforced at all NTFL grounds while inside any venue, including changerooms.
“The NT government strongly recommends and AFLNT strongly encourages all patrons to wear a mask when attending NTFL games, even when outdoors,” AFLNT chief executive Sam Gibson said.
“Personal behaviour is one of the best defences against Covid-19, which is why it is important for everyone to follow all health directions.
“AFLNT expects all in the football community to take responsibility for their own adherence to the government directions.
“If you have symptoms, stay away from others, do not participate in or attend the footy and get tested.”
The Men’s Premier League game between Tiwi Bombers and Wanderers has been cancelled due to current Tiwi Islands travel restrictions.
It is the second week in a row where a Bombers game has been cancelled with the round 13 match against St Mary’s meeting the same fate.
AFLNT is not the only competition having to comply with the mandatory ruling; NT Rugby Union also has to enforce the vaccine pass at Rugby Park.
NTRU chief executive Shane Sullivan said it was the best way to keep the community safe.
“For us the vaccine pass is a great way to keep our rugby community safe from the Covid situation,” Sullivan said.
“Our rugby community is on board with the directions and our clubs and players are making sure they do what is needed.
“Like everyone, we’ve had our challenges with Covid but we’re looking forward to finishing the season without further troubles.”
The need to show vaccination status at sporting venues follows the announcement that licensed premises fall under the vaccine pass directive.
The Sitzler Netball Stadium and CDU Stadium also fall under that net with the whole facility being a licensed hospitality venue.
“We look forward to everyone’s co-operation in ensuring a smooth approach to implementation of this requirement,” a post on the Darwin Netball Facebook page read.
“The situation will be closely monitored for any changes.”
