Despite seven goals from Pies forward Cameron Cloke, the Tigers set up the win with 14.9 to 4.2 in the middle quarters for the 15.16 (106) to 14.4 (88) victory.
While pleased to see some slick attacking plays, Nightcliff coach Damian Hale said that defence remained the side's weakness.
