THERE is no shortage of confidence in the St Mary’s camp heading into Saturday night’s NTFL qualifying final against Wanderers, according to star forward Jack Landt.

Landt has been a revelation at the Green Machine this season, kicking 28 goals and finishing in his side’s best nine times.

Like his brother and defender Dylan, Landt would be well and truly in the running in the Nichols Medal count.

But a suspension during the home-and-away season has made him ineligible.

That doesn’t bother him, with his side carrying strong form into Saturday night’s blockbuster against the Eagles.

Landt kicked three majors against the same opposition in a 79-point victory just last Saturday for his team to finish the regular season in second place.

“I’m pretty excited about this weekend – we’ll have a handful of quality players coming back, including Jackson Calder, Jackson Paine, hopefully Anthony Long from concussion and Nick Yarran from suspension,” the former Sunbury Lions star in the Ballarat Football League told the NT News.

“We’re playing really good footy at the moment and we’re all working really well together.

“Me and Dylan have loved it up here at Saints.

“The club has been very welcoming and I’ve picked up a job as an electrician, so I’m not sure about leaving.

“If me or Dylan get our names up on the club board as a club best-and-fairest that’d be a bonus, but winning a premiership is our priority.

“I’ve made a grand final with Sunbury and there’s a better feeling among this group here at Saints.”
