IT’S hard to believe Darwin Buffettes weren’t quite at their best in their incredible eight-point win over minor premiers PINT in the major semi-final two weeks ago.
And that is the scary prospect Queenants players will have to grapple with in what will surely be yet another thriller between the two teams in Saturday’s Women’s Premier League Grand Final at TIO Stadium.

Darwin trailed at every change against the previously undefeated and star-studded outfit, including by 18 points at halftime.
But the double-blues produced a spirited second-half comeback to prevail, kicking five goals to one in the last two quarters.
“We were quite selfish in the first half,” star Buffettes ruck Molly Althouse told the NT News.
“But at halftime we said we’d work for each other, and we did that and turned it around in the second half.”
Althouse – who finished fourth in the Gwynne Medal count (15 votes) behind winner and PINT opposite Jasmyn Hewett (37 votes) – said fans were in for yet another treat on Saturday.
“They (Queenants) are a very fit team – they just keep going and going,” she said.
“They’ve got strong midfielders who get regular clearances through Jasmyn Hewett and Katie Streader.
“Jasmyn has a better jump than me, so I have to use my body more.
“(But) we’ve got great players like Katelyn Hazlett, Jemma Iacono, Talia Corrie and Bianca Stokes in our backline, and of course Dom Carbone and Kylie Duggan.”
