DESPITE playing in the losing team, St Mary’s defender Raph Clarke was a worthy recipient of the Chaney Medal for best on ground in the 2020-21 NTFL Grand Final, his team losing an extra-time heart-stopper to Nightcliff.

Former St Kilda star Clarke kept St Mary’s in the game in the first half, before taking control of the game with his physicality and skill in the last two quarters.
