The first men’s match on Saturday was the elimination final between Waratah and the Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium.
The sides were competingto keep their finals dreams alive though Buffaloes came in with the mental edge having won the same encounter two weeks ago.
Then it was the qualifying final between St Mary’s and Wanderers in another edition in a famous rivalry.

Meanwhile, in the women’s final series, the reigning premiers Southern Districts faced off against Nightcliff in the Elimination final at TIO Stadium.
Both sides knew that there were no second chances from here on out and a loss meant the end of their premiership hopes while a win would keep them in with a shot of Premiership glory.
