Rising talents from around the country will be centre stage at the National Netball Championships – and these are the young guns to keep an eye on. See the full list and squad for every state.

The 2025 National Netball Championships promise to deliver an exciting week of action at Sydney’s Netball Central when the tournament kicks off on April 10.

Each state has selected both an U17 and U19 squad with a number of young guns hoping to shine.

And you can watch them in action with every match from the NNC live streamed exclusively on KommunityTV.

Here’s the full squads for each state and the players fans should keep an eye on.

AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY

17/U: Charliese Virtue, Emberlyn Culver, Eseta Tuipeatau, Eva Spoljaric, Evelina Tuipeatau, Evie Foote, Isla Pfeiffer, Jariah Kivalu, Kiara Heaver, Kiarma Ramalli, Mia Keen, Rebecca Howarth

Player to watch: Eseta Tuipeatau
Tuipeatau is a dynamic and energetic centre/wing attack, serving as vice-captain in her second year at nationals. A top-age 17s player and Capital Spirit Academy athlete, she brings speed, vision, and leadership to the court. She has also represented the ACT Tonga team at the Kakala ‘O Tonga Netball Tournament, with dreams of representing Tonga on the international stage.

19/U: Alice Henman, Asha Hawkins, Ashley Weller, Ella Cummings, Lara Dau, Lara McGilvray, Leah Carroll, Mia Lincoln, Ruby Hyatt, Sophia Meehan, Tessa Griffin, Charlize Gabel Joseph

Player to watch: Alice Henman
Henman is a tenacious and determined wing defence and centre and is captain in her fourth year at nationals. A talent in the Australian TID program and a Capital Darters Academy athlete, she brings leadership, determination, and skill to every game.

NEW SOUTH WALES

17/U:Duwa Itoya, Evalina Carneiro, Isla Waterhouse, Marley Aplin, Marley Dighton, Matilda Fanning, Matilda Percival, Ruby Nero, Sarah Hicks, Sienna Liva, Winny Lual, Zyon Ligaliga-Tonise

Player to watch: Matilda Percival
Percival will make a big impact in her second year at the Championships. Her tall stature and shooting accuracy already make her a tough player to defend against, but now, with the added role of GA, Percival will be an even bigger challenge for opposing teams.

19/U: Ellie Hart, Harlym Jennings, Hope White, Kelis Ogle, Monique Johnson, Nevaeh Matenga, Nicola Barge, Olivia Harris, Skye Thompson, Sophia Martinussen, Tahlia Robertson, Yasmeen Janschek

Player to watch: Nicola Barge
As captain of the 19/U team, her leadership skills are incredibly valuable, especially considering this is her fourth year at the Championships. Her calm approach and accuracy in the shooting circle shows just how composed and skilled she is under pressure, with those skills currently on show as a NSW Swifts training partner.

NORTHERN TERRITORY

17/U:Winnie Evans, Anika McGarvie, Kaylee Alchin, Hayley Robertson, Molly Suradi, Layla Totham, Kaylee King, Mia Auricht, Hanna Eastick, Lily Richards, Olivia Chambers, Ava Kelly

Player to watch: Molly Suradi
The 17/U captain, Suradi has worked hard to come back from an injury last year and will be a key feature of the side. The midcourter has previous experience representing NT at the championships.

Player to watch: Charlotte Hateley
Hateley is an experienced campaigner set to embark on her fourth National Netball Championships. The wing attack will be a leader on court for NT through her strong work ethic and resilience.

QUEENSLAND

17/U: Simone Botha, Matilda Canning, Samaya Cook, Chelsea Edwards, Isabelle Houghton, Ciarn MacBride, Amelia Nemcansky, Willow Peterson, Ruby Stanford, Embah Tait, Tereneah Tapuai, Bridie Stewart

Player to watch: Ruby Stanford
The Ipswich teenager will be share the captaincy duties with Simone Botha and is one expected to have a big tournament. Described as a player with a “team-first attitude”, it’s no surprise she was elected into a leadership position for the Championships.

19/U: Ellie Brice, Rio Burns, Marley Burns, Holly Comyns, Jada Delaney, Sasha-May Flegler, Gemma Hutchings, Charlotte Jonsen, Tia Molo, Kirra Tappenden, Amy Williams, Tia Crombie

Player to watch: Ellie Brice
The captain of the championship winning U17 side in 2023, Brice has been elevated to captain of the U19s after being named vice-captain in 2024. A tenacious midcourter, Brice is a member of the Queensland Firebirds futures squad.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

17/U: Leah Anderson-Morris, Kiara Burns, Molly Chapman, Anna Goad, Mischa Human, Maiya Kotowski, Darcy May-Martin, Tayla McCarthy, Jazmin McKay, Elouise Nordhausen, Chloe Peacock, Piper Stenner

Player to watch: Jazmin McKay
McKay is an athletic defender who is quickly making a name for herself in the South Australian netball community. The daughter of former Australian Diamonds and Adelaide Thunders player, Sarah Sutter, McKay is quickly following in her mothers footsteps and returns to the SA state team for the second-consecutive year in 2025 after being part of the U17 side that won gold in 2024.

19/U: Edie Benger, Rachel Hayball, Charli Hazelhurst, Layla Hearne, Tahlia Jolly, Jemma Kelly, Anessah Oakley, Samaya Oakley, Summer Smith, Charlotte Walker, Sophie Warren, Sienna Wilson

Player to watch: Jemma Kelly
Kelly has had a quick rise in South Australian netball after starring at the 2024 National Netball Championships when she was named player of the tournament for the U17 division and MVP of the Grand Final. She has since been named in the Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures side set to compete in the Super Netball Reserves competition.

TASMANIA

Player to watch: Grace Ebbelaar
The U17s captain will be key to Tasmania’s chances and will be hoping to replicate her strong start to the Tasmanian Netball League season for the undefeated Cavaliers.

19/U:Aimee Bean, Sophie Blackberry, Sophie Brewer, Lily Case, Grace Foley, Matilda Franklin, Abbey Geappen, Ella Harnett, Ava Jones, Matilda Kaye, Asha Lowe, Paige O’Neill

Player to watch: Paige O’Neill
One of Tasmania’s most promising young sporting talents, O’Neill will captain the U19 side. The talented defender has spent time as a training partner with the Adelaide Thunderbirds and will be out to continue to impress in Sydney.

VICTORIA

17/U: Kiara Boyd, Camille Brownjohn, Allie Davidson, Sienna De La Sota, Amalani Fauonuku, Abbey Hogg, Cleo McLachlan, Gemma Meadley, Molly Moylan, Alice O’Callaghan, Indi O’Connor, Haleina Tanoi

Player to watch: Molly Moylan
Moylan hails from Wodonga, making the three-and-a-half-hour journey to Melbourne to train and play with the team. This will be her first year in the state team, and she has already shown her commitment and leadership abilities. As a goaler, Moylan is known for her accuracy, timing, and strong hands under pressure. Her ability to read the game and stay calm under challenging circumstances makes her a critical asset to the team.

19/U: Holly Adams-Alcock, Mia Aitken, Sahara Ball, Charli Hoey, Piuti Laban, Mia Lavis, Annecy Lyon, Eliza Molino, Eliza Mooney, Georgie O’Brien, Mackenzie O’Dwyer, Ayva Tanfara

Player to watch: Charli Hoey
A determined and skilled defender from Geelong. Hoey has been part of the state teams since 2023 and recently travelled to the Team Girls Cup with the Melbourne Mavericks, after being announced in their SN Reserves team. Hoey captained the Victorian U17 team in 2023 and has also represented the U19 team in 2024.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

17/U: Ava Bell, Keely Berry, Georgia Candy, Ivy Dodd, Georgia Holmes, Charli Hynes, Sienna Kukulj, Amelie Markovic, Sapphire McLeod, Skyla Payne, Loyola Vaauli, Maisie Wilders

Player to watch: Ivy Dodd
Dodd is a critical defender who is able to hold herself strong against a shooter in the circle. This will be her second National Championships with the U17 side and first year as captain.

19/U: Teagan Begovic, Ava Buselich, Kate Cunningham, Christe-Lee Griesel, Grace Jooste, Lily Knight, Aaliyah Koteka, Grace Millichamp, Eva Petkovic, Halle Richards, Emily Rivers, Clara Wigley

Player to watch: Grace Jooste
Jooste is an experienced and versatile defender who is known as a tough opposition. Jooste has experience in the National Championships as part of both the U17 and U19 squads and will captain the 19s this year.
