Live stream: Watch Court 4 on day five at 2024 Basketball Australia Under-18s and Junior Wheelchair National Championships

Tasmania sealed third place in Pool A in under-18 women in a thriller against Victoria Metro. Watch all the court four REPLAYS from Thursday.

Tasmania survived a late scare from Victoria Metro to secure third place in Pool A and a quarterfinal spot in the under-18 women’s championships.

A top-three spot was on the line when both teams faced each other on court 4 on Thursday.

But it was Tasmania who led from start to finish to record a five-point win, 63-58.

Tasmania led by as much as 12 in the final term but Victoria reduced the margin to five points with 44 seconds left to keep the side in the contest.

But Tassie held strong to win.

The team was led by Andie Smith who scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds.

She was joined by Nikki Parker who added 15.

Victoria will rue their shooting with the side shooting 29 per cent from the field for the game.

Daisy Nousis and Kendra Rivet both scored 12 points for Vic Metro.

In the other games on court four on Thursday there were comfortable wins for under-18 men’s sides Queensland North, Western Australia Metro and New South Wales Country.

Queensland North defeated Northern Territory by 43 points, 109-66, with Maroons captain Keahn Tuakura scoring 18 points.

The win put North second in Pool B with Northern Territory last heading into their final game against NSW Metro.

NSW Country outlasted Western Australia Country, winning by 19 points off the back of a strong second half.

Scores were level at halftime, 37-37, but NSW scored 46 points in the second half to runaway with the win.

It was NSW Country’s first win of the carnival and moved them fifth in their pool, Pool A, with WA Country finishing last.

Luka Cuda scored 15 points for NSW.

Finally, Western Australia Metro defeated South Australia Country 81-72, to finish Pool B in third.

WA Metro player Aaron Gashaw scored 14 points with SA Country player Aidan Schubert scoring 27 points in an impressive performance in the loss.

Every match of the Basketball Australia Under-18 and Junior Wheelchair National Championships will be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV from April 7-14.

In the last women’s under-18 games New South Wales Metro defeated ACT by 39 points in a dominant contest.

New South Wales won 87-48, with Zoe Jackson scoring 16 points.

South Australia Country will get the chance to seal second spot in Pool B in under-18 boys, taking on Western Australia today.

After suffering an eight point loss to Queensland North, the Croweaters will get the perfect chance to bounce back against a WA Metro side with the same record.

The winner will finish in the top-two.

SA Country player Aidan Schubert will be looking to bounce back after being held to nine points against Queensland North.

It was well below his average of more than 20 points leading into the contest.

The contest is another of the big matches on court four today.

Wrapping up the day will be ACT taking on NSW Metro in under-18 women at 5pm
