2025-26 NTFL live stream: Watch St Mary’s v Nightcliff women in Round 7
Nightcliff Tigers have ended St Mary's 10-month unbeaten run with an emphatic 18-point victory in their grand final rematch at TIO Stadium. Watch the full REPLAY here.
The Nightcliff women claimed a measure of revenge for last season’s grand final defeat, nailing a couple of late goals to topple reigning premiers St Mary’s.
The Tigers lost the 2024-25 decider by a single point to St Mary’s on the back of some missed shots at goal, but they were more than up for the challenge on Saturday.
The Saints hadn’t lost a match since Round 2 of the 2024-25 season, and despite threatening a late comeback had no answers when the Tigers kicked it up again to win 7.6 (48) to 4.6 (30).

The Tigers came out with plenty of intensity with the return of Fleur Davies in the ruck telling in the middle and giving Nightcliff first use.
Usual standouts Georgia Johnson and Christy Landwehr battled on in the midfield but it was skipper and usual ball winner Gabrielle Deller who got the first goal.
Dangerous forward Cassie McWilliam had an influence on the contest and was a player the Saints struggled to contain.
It was Laura Roy who finished as the most dominant forward in front of the goal, with three for the match and being key in rewarding her midfield’s efforts on the board.
The Saints day went further downhill when leader Janet Baird limped off and did not return after the major break denying her side her typical defensive nous.
Ciaralii Parnell did step up and was a big marker when her side needed her pressuring a few misses, but still the Tigers kicked on.
Big recruit Isabella Shannon took the game on for the Green Machine and her goal in the back end of the third begun a real fight back for the side.
Her score was followed by majors from Lavinah Pollo and Zoe Larkins in the final quarter and suddenly the deficit had been snapped to a single goal.
But the Tigers dug in and went up another gear with Roy contributing what was her third while Chloe Saultry added an extra to put the nail in the coffin.
PREVIEW
The NTFL’s top two women’s sides are set to collide in round 7 when St Mary’s and Nightcliff collide in a massive grand final rematch.
Every moment of the match will be live streamed from 4.30pm on Saturday by The NT News and KommunityTV as part of our season-long NTFL coverage.
WHY TO WATCH
Just one point separated the two in last year’s grand final with the Saints surviving a Tigers onslaught to claim their first women’s premiership in more than a decade.
But Nightcliff have proven they’re hungry for the redemption this season and have the depth of quality to mount a challenge once more.
Gabrielle Deller has taken over as captain and is a near constant around the ball while Cassie McWilliam and Hannah Garland are both among the competition’s top goal kickers to this point of the season.
Kierra Zerafa has been the big inclusion at Tigerland this season and has quickly proven her skills are a perfect match for her new team.
St Mary’s have also been perfect in the first third of the season claiming the big scalp of PINT as they push for back-to-back titles.
Last season’s Rising Star winner Shakaila Gardiner-Dunn is tied with McWilliam on 10 goals for the season and will be one the Tigers want to stop given she kicked three goals in that final.
But she is by no means the lone danger with Janet Baird and Ciaralii Parnell leading the defensive end and a group of new young talents coming through to bolster the side.
