LeBron James and Ben Simmons give a tantalising taste of what might have been

NBA fans have finally seen what it looks like when LeBron James and Ben Simmons are on the same team — and even Halle Berry approves.

What might have been.

THE start of the NBA season is less than six weeks away and for LeBron James and Ben Simmons it’s time to really start putting in work.

The star duo, who share the same management and have been tight for years, were in New York recently playing a pick-up game and in a tantalising taste of what might have been they were on the same team.

While it never looked all that likely, Simmons’ Philadelphia 76ers were one of the teams on James’ shortlist when he entered free agency a few months back.

The prospect of the two pairing up was a dream scenario — particularly for Australian basketball fans — but James ultimately opted for the Los Angeles Lakers.

That was probably a good result for the Eastern Conference by the look of this clip, shared by Black Ops Basketball’s sought-after NBA trainer Chris Brickley.

The clip has gone viral and even drew the attention of actor Halle Berry who responded with the raised hands emoji.

James also posted a photograph two his Instagram with the caption: “King X Prince!! Nothing see here just punching in our clocks! It’s almost that time again.”

They were also spotted taking in New York fashion week with Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin.
