The captain was honoured to pick up the accolade and credited her team for all the hard work they had put in for her.
“It’s a big honour to have received this award and I’m super proud to have come away with it,” Duggan told the NT News.
“I’m not one for individual awards as basketball is a team game so this award goes to the team and all the help they have given me this season.
“I’ve had a pretty consistent season and I know that as long as my body is in good shape I can go out there and give a full four quarter effort.
“It’s definitely been a great year for Jets and that says a lot about our depth. We’ve had a lot of people in and out of the group and to still be successful speak to our depth.
“The juniors have also really stepped up and it really helps them grow to be in an experienced side with finals experience so the future looks bright for us.”
On the men’s side the MVP accolade went to their star import Jamerson who lifted the young side to second on the table following the regular season.
Jamerson who racked up plenty of performance of the week showings also featured highly in the season stats also gathering the True Shooter Award with the highest average points (27.88).
