JASMYN Hewett, the outstanding footballer in the NTFL’s Women’s Premier League through the 20-21 season, is returning to the AFLW with Adelaide as a delisted free agent.
The 27-year-old won the league’s best and fairest award, the Gwynne Medal and the Brenda Williams Medal as the best player on the ground in the Queenant’s grand final win over the Darwin Buffettes.
Hewett played for St Mary’s in her debut 2016-17 NTFL season, booting six goals in her first match and 36 goals for the season, winning the league’s rising star in the process.
Drafted by Adelaide as their second pick and 16th overall at the 2017 national draft, Hewett played seven games in a Crow’s jumper before an ankle injury ruined her 2019 season.
She moved to the Gold Coast Suns as an expansion player via NT Thunder’s VFLW side in 2020 where she played a further six games.
Hewett’s move to the Crows means she joins Darwin’s Danielle Ponter on their playing list.
