BEST BET

FANCIFY (R3 No.3 – $3.50)

Fancify beat all but rampaging She’s Bulletproof when first-up at Sandown Lakeside and should lead from barrier two. The South Australian mare has won four from five at 1400m which includes a Group 3 win in fast time at Flemington last spring. Two of her main rivals – Plenty Of Ammo and Molly Bloom – are likely being set for the Australian Cup.

NEXT BEST

SWITZERLAND (R8 No.11 – $2.80)

Switzerland thumped his age group in the Coolmore Stud Stakes down the straight on Derby Day, and has won five of his seven starts. Three-year-olds have won two of the past three Lightning Stakes, with Chris Waller winning one of those with colt Home Affairs who also won the Coolmore.

SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET (R10 No.9 – $3)

Sunshineinmypocket came from a long way back to win first-up over 1200m at Sandown. He has won over 1400m and can settle closer from barrier one. The only blemish on his record was in the Bendigo Guineas where he didn’t have much luck.

THE JOCKEY

JAMIE MELHAM

LE ZEBRA (R1 No.2 – $7), SWORD OF LEGACY (R2 No.7 – $11), WISHLOR LASS (R3 No.6 – $3.50), ARQANA (R4 No.4 – $11), COMMUNIST (R6 No.8 – $4.60), GOLDRUSH GURU (R7 No.1 – $9.50), TRAFFIC WARDEN (R8 No.12 – $4). DIVINE JUSTICE (R9 No.12 – $7).
