ELLAS Titans remain undefeated after six rounds with some of the league’s best players at their disposal, including NBL1 star Deba George.

George along with Deola D’Brown, Willie Shackleford, Ben Streeter and Cam Duncan complete a powerful attacking side full of experience.

The star power has pushed their club to the top of the ladder in its debut Men’s League Challenge season and the scoring machine believes they can stay there for the whole season.

“It’s been really good, there’s still some stuff we need to work on especially in defence, but we’ve been doing really well,” George told the NT News.

“We are jelling real good, there’s us older guys in the squad and there’s heaps of younger guys here too.

“Everyone is trying to get better and it’s great for those younger players to learn from our knowledge and experience.”

The combo guard played for Essington on his previous Darwin stint with D’Brown and Emmanuel Siriotis, who invited him to play with Ellas upon their move to Ellas.

“I’ve been good friends with these guys for a long time,” Siriotis said.

“I’ve also known Shack for a really long time, we’re good friends but I had only ever played against him before coming to Ellas. Same with Cam and Ben.”

George has enjoyed five consistent seasons with the Albury-Wodonga Bandits in the NBL1, a competition he considers second to none below the NBL due to the strength of its sides.

“I’ve done well there, stayed consistent and do what I can to help the team,” he said.

Tonight though at 8.30pm his attention will be on the matchup with fifth-placed Ansett who are looking to recover from consecutive losses.

“I’m expecting a really good game and am looking forward to going up against my good friend Travis (Ellis),” George said.

“They will come out and play their best to win, won’t us let walk over them and we won’t let them walk over us.”

Shackleford and Duncan may miss the game but even then Ellas will not be short of big name players.
