It is a real sad time to be a Toffees fan, being in the relegation zone and are rumored to have another points deduction on the way due to profitability breaches.

Marcus Bazzano labels just how bad they have been on the Football Today Podcast, “they haven’t won since December 20 in the FA Cup and have only scored two goals across their last six games.”

Spurs on the other hand are back into the top four after beating Brentford 3-2 during the week and look set for another attacking masterclass here.

Timo Werner has lifted an injury riddled Tottenham side, using his pace and dribbling skills on the wing to bag an assist in each of his first two games and Richarlison is in the form of his life, finally finishing his dinner and scoring in six of the last seven games.

Although defence has been a worry for Spurs, conceding the second most goals of any team in the top 12, Everton have been abysmal in attack and won’t be able to keep up in this one.

TIP: Tottenham -1

Chelsea will look to swiftly bounce back to the winner’s circle when they host Wolverhampton at Stamford Bridge in the early hours of Monday morning (AEDT).

Mauricio Pochettino’s outfit travelled to Anfield midweek off the back of Jurgen Klopp announcing his departure from Liverpool at the end of the season. The Blues weren’t up to the fight and lost the match 4-1.

On a positive note, Pochettino got more minutes in the legs of returning injured players Ben Chilwell, Christopher Nkunku & Malo Gusto, which helps the Blues squad depth coming into the final third of the season.

Meanwhile, Wolves will fancy their chances of an upset in London having only lost one of the previous seven meetings against the underperforming heavyweights.

Wolverhampton has yet to play mid-week against Manchester United at the time of writing, but they have been in positive form. This run of form included a 2-1 victory on Christmas Eve against Chelsea.

Mario Lemina & Matt Doherty were on the scoresheet, whilst Nkunku scored on his Premier League debut. These two match up extremely evenly and it will be hard to score a winner.

ARSENAL vs LIVERPOOL

It isn’t hyperbole to say that Sunday’s clash between Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium is season defining.

The Gunners enter Matchweek 23 in third place and five points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Football Today Podcast host Alex Donnelly believes it is win or ‘go home’ for Arsenal as far as a title challenge is concerned.

”If Arsenal don’t win on Sunday they cannot win the league... a loss would put them eight points behind Liverpool with just 15 games to go and it is a gap they cannot close, that’s before we consider Man City who are on equal footing with Arsenal albeit with a game in hand.”

These two teams played out a thrilling 1-1 draw just before Christmas at Anfield and it was Arsenal who won 3-2 in this fixture at the Emirates last season, with that being the sole reason the tip is Arsenal.

TIP: Arsenal
