Tottenham Hotspur are increasingly resigned to selling Harry Kane after Bayern Munich indicated they would increase their offer for the England captain to 110 million euros (94.5m pounds).
The German club hope to conclude the signing this week, while Tottenham, who have been holding out for 100 million pounds, would prefer the bulk of the fee to be paid up front. Bayern’s last bid, which was rejected, was for 73 million pounds rising to 86 million pounds.
Tottenham, who have spent about 154 million pounds this summer, plan to step up their interest in Gift Orban. The 21-year-old Gent striker would provide back-up for Richarlison, Tottenham’s Brazil forward, who would lead the line in place of Kane.

Orban is expected to be among three players Tottenham try to sign this month, including a centre back and midfielder, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg hoping to join Atletico Madrid.
After completing the signing of Micky van de Ven for an initial 34 million pounds from Wolfsburg, Tottenham are planning to bring in a second Dutch defender, Perr Schuurs, 23 – who Torino value at 28 million pounds – if they can offload three unwanted centre backs.
Spurs have been trying to sell Joe Rodon, Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga, while Eric Dier, another of their centre backs, has a year left on his contract. Cristian Romero is expected to partner Van de Ven, who captained Holland Under-21 in this summer’s European Championship. The 22-year-old, who has signed a six-year contract, will cost up to 43 million pounds including add-ons.
Tottenham have also signed Alejo Veliz, the Argentina Under-20 forward, from Rosario Central for a reported 13 million pounds fee, subject to a work permit.
