HISTORY will be made this weekend when the Elliott Hawks play their first ever home game in the BAFL.

The second placed Elliott side will take on top side Sporties Spitfires in a Round 7 match-up from 1.30pm on Saturday that is sure to be a special one for the home side.

Over the course of its 30 year history the Elliott Hawks have made the 500km round trip to Tennant Creek to play all their matches and now with a home ground they can play on Jingili/Mudburra soil.

The Hawks soared to a massive 24.15 (159) to 4.6 (30) win over Ali Curang in Round 6 to further their finals credentials in the four team competition.

Damien Campbell and Clifford Campbell topped the scoring in that encounter with six and five goals respectively and they will be after even more in their first ever defence of their home ground.

However, the Spitfires sit on of the table for a reason and proved that with 16.16 (112) to 2.2 (14) win over third placed Ydu last round.

The side with Nightcliff premiership winner Liam Holt-Fitz will be looking to defend their unbeaten run.
