The rise of Aussie cricket legend Matthew Hayden’s daughter has continued with the popular TV presenter’s career taking a turn.

Aussie cricket legend Matthew Hayden is watching his daughter Grace becoming one of the most popular presenters in Australian sport.

The former Test opener’s daughter is continuing her rise up the TV industry ranks with a move to digital sport platform Racing X.

The 22-year-old is the new face of the Hong Kong-based international racing content operation.

The jet-setter is emerging as a star media performer, reporting on the Indian Premier League and filming lifestyle stories at the T20 World Cup.

As well as featuring as a fashion expert and roving reporter with Channel 7’s racing coverage, Hayden also featured during the 2023 ODI World Cup in India alongside her father with the Disney-Star network.

The Brisbane product featured as part of Seven’s Autumn Racing Carnival and Spring Racing Carnival coverage last year after making her network debut in 2022.

She was back working with her dad during this summer’s Test series between India and Australia.

Working for Star Sports, Grace reported from around the grounds for the Indian network and also had time to pose for photos with her famous dad at the Perth Test.

The 53-year-old was at Optus Stadium as he carried out his commentary role with Seven.

Grace is now walking her own path.

“All of the iconic sporting cricket grounds were kind of my playground growing up, so it was all I ever knew,” Hayden told The Daily Telegraph.

“Sport is everything that I’ve known my whole life.

“Now that I am working in sport and cricket, I realise just how amazing my dad was, still is, but was at his craft, and I just didn’t appreciate that when I was little.

“Now I look back at videos and see he was amazing.”

Hayden has already been busy for her new employer ahead of the Gold Coast Magic Millions on Saturday.

“No better time to welcome the newest member of the Racing X team,” Racing X posted on Instagram.

“Grace Hayden is on board as we head into a huge week of horse sales, racing, boxing and everything else that the Gold Coast has on offer.

“Stay tuned across our socials for the girls coverage of the Gold Coasts most iconic week.”

She introduced herself with a classy video that showed her at Luna Beach Club.

“Surprise, Racing X family! I’m Grace Hayden, and I’m the brand-new face of the Racing X team,” she said.

“I’m going to be bringing all things sport, racing, fashion-you name it. I’m your girl, and I cannot wait to dive into Magic Millions week this week.”

Videos shared on Instagram show she has been living glamorously on the Glitter Strip ahead of Saturday’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic and Magic Millions 3YO Guineas. Both Group 1 races are worth $3 million.

She is currently dating currently dating Wilson Statham, who is the son of Queensland cotton moguls Danielle and David Statham.

Hayden’s new role will see her travel the world, covering major sporting events in locations including Saudi Arabia, New Zealand and Las Vegas.
