Darwin Eagles, Tasmania star Tom Andrews to captain NT Strike against Cricket Australia XI in Chamber NT Top End Series

Darwin Eagles and Tasmania star all-rounder Tom Andrews has been selected to captain the NT Strike team against the Cricket Australia XI in the upcoming Top End Series, while Australian Test captain Tim Paine will help coach the CA XI outfit.

NT CRICKET has confirmed the final squads for the Chamber NT Top End Series, with changes to both the NT Strike and Cricket Australia XI teams.

Jake Weatherald (Strike – unable to travel to Darwin), Jacob Dick (NT Strike – injury), Dean Fry (NT Strike – unable to travel to Darwin) and Isaac Higgins (CA XI – illness) have had to withdraw.

No inclusions have been made to the CA XI squad, however two new members have been added to the NT Strike squad – Jackson Edmondstone (Tracy Village) and Matt Hammond (Southern Districts).

Tom Andrews has also been elevated to captain of the Strike.

And in massive news, Australian Test captain Tim Paine will assist the CA XI side as a coach.
