The skies look clear of rain but the cold temperature could have a big bearing on the outcome of the City v Country Under 16s match.
Temperature are forecast to dip below zero in Bathurst before Sunday’s much-anticipated matches.
“It’s going to be a hard game for both teams. It looks like it will be very cold but I think that will be a plus for us,’’ said Country U16 coach Andrew Hillan.
“We’ve got kids coming from Forbes and place like that who are a bit more used to it. I think it will affect the City boys more than us.’’
Country showed plenty of improvement in a recent series of matches in Sydney where they came back from a thumping to draw their final outing.

“We got caught offguard by the pace of the game but we have since made some adjustments,’’ Hillan said.
City coach Mike Andress is forecasting a physical and tough match up between his players and those wearing the Country jumper.
“Country guys are bred tough and hard,” he said.
“Hopefully we will get them in the skills department.
“But we saw a big improvement in them the other week. These boys will not be easy to beat.”
