The influencer ex-girlfriend of boxer Harry Garside may be on the verge of an agreement with police after she was accused of assaulting the Olympian in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Ashley Ruscoe did not appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Monday as she fights allegations she assaulted and intimidated her then-partner at her Belleuve Hill home.

The 35-year-old is also facing two charges of intentionally distributing intimate images without consent of Mr Garside, who has previously given permission to be identified through his legal team.

Appearing before a “super call-over” court on Monday intended to expedite ongoing matters, lawyer Bryan Wrench said he was still trying to reach an agreement with police.

The court was told the previous offer by Mr Wrench was rejected, but that there was the possibility of an agreement following further communications with the Officer in Charge.

With defended matters being listed for hearing as late as late-2025, Magistrate Miranda Moody praised Mr Wrench and police as being “parties who actually know how to negotiate”.

She agreed to list the matter for mention on December 2, ahead of a possible hearing in May 2025 during which Ms Ruscoe will defend the allegations before a court hearing.

It comes after Mr Garside was sensationally cleared in a Sydney court of domestic violence allegations related to an alleged incident at the couple’s home in March last year.

The Olympic boxer and recent author had been arrested at Sydney airport on May 2, 2023 upon his return from filming I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in South Africa.

He steadfastly maintained his innocence, and the charges against him were dropped after his legal team found a video that showed Ms Ruscoe as the alleged aggressor.

For her part, Ms Ruscoe relocated after her last in-person court appearance in August to the island of Bali in Indonesia, where she has been offering one-on-one boxing classes.

On her business page, Hit Like A Girl, Ms Ruscoe said she would be offering sessions at Noble Boxing, based in Canggu, and has showcased her new life on her Instagram.
